Marty Rusk is Vice President of North America Recycling for Smurfit Kappa. He leads a team responsible for procuring fiber for the company’s 100 percent recycled containerboard mill in Forney, Texas, as well as its other mills throughout the Americas and Europe.
His team secures this furnish by providing service to their suppliers through seven recycling plants in three states, an extensive flatbed route network that operates in five states and a brokerage business that spans coast to coast.
The company manages more than 750,000 tons annually and serves as an integrated resource to its Packaging business, helping customers achieve true closed loop sustainability goals and promoting circular economies. Rusk joined Smurfit Kappa five years ago through the acquisition of Corrugated Services, Inc./Orange County Container Group where he had been Vice President of Fiber Supply for 16 years. Prior to this he held responsibilities in fiber procurement and production for the recycling groups of PCA and Caraustar.
