Rob Stier manages the global Petrochemical Service in the analytics practice at S&P Global Platts. In this role, he leads the development of the global olefins, aromatics and polymers markets.
Before joining S&P Global Platts in 2018, Rob was Vice President of Market Analysis at Koch Supply & Trading covering nat gas, power, refined products, NGLs, petrochemicals and plastics. Rob also started up two NGL and petrochemical trading & plastics risk management desks at Cargill and Glencore. He started his career at OxyChem/Equistar and spent 10 years there in various positions including process engineering, business management and international business development.
Rob was elected to and served a two year position as Chairman of the NPRA (now AFPM) Petrochemical Statistics Committee.
Rob holds a B.S. Honors Degree in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College in Easton, PA and attended Phillips Academy in Andover, MA.
