Jonathan Sloan

President, Canusa Hershman Recycling Company

Mr.Sloan has been in the recycling business for over 20 years. He assumed the role of President of CHRC in June 2002 when Canusa Corporation and Hershman Recycling merged their operations. He is responsible for the day-to-day activities of its plant operations and brokerage division. CHRC operates four processing facilities and through its brokerage division and affiliates, trades in excess of 3 million tons per year of recyclables.

Prior to joining CHRC, Mr. Sloan was an Area Vice President from Browning-Ferris Industries' Materials Marketing Group. In this position he managed seven of nine regions in North America for BFI's centralized marketing function and was intimately involved in plant operations. These operations generated over 3.2 millin tons per year of recyclable materials. Mr. Sloan also served as Vice-President or Recycling with BFI's European operations based in The Netherlands.

A native of Wilmington, DE he holds a BA from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA and an MBA from The College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA.
