The Curbside Value Partnership’s (CVP’s) Recycling Partnership, Falls Church, Virginia, has named Cody Marshall its technical assistance coordinator.

The CVP says Marshall has considerable experience working with local governments and recycling programs, which will be a significant asset to the Recycling Partnership as it couples its funding with targeted operational and educational outreach assistance.

Keefe Harrison, CVP executive director, says, “We can’t think of anyone better than Cody to help our organization support the needs of recycling programs nationwide. Our current community partners have glowing reports of his ability to help them not just grow but [also] to strengthen.”

Prior to joining CVP’s Recycling Partnership, Marshall spent time as a municipal recycling manager and as a consultant, where he was involved in evaluating and planning improvements for recycling programs and organizations.

In related news, CVP’s Recycling Partnership has announced that Waste Management Inc., Houston, has become a member.

“We are pleased to support CVP’s Recycling Partnership,” says Susan Robinson, senior public affairs director at Waste Management. “They have demonstrated an ability to design solutions to overcome industrywide problems. They are practical and tactical in their work, and we are looking forward to being a part of more good work.”

According to CVP’s Harrison, “Waste Management’s support is a part of a larger movement to expand our reach and diversify our bank of industry resources with a variety of insights and talents. We are proud to connect this unique set of strengths and to put that knowledge to work in powerful ways.”

“We are thrilled that Waste Management will support CVP’s Recycling Partnership, helping to improve recycling rates and the quality of those recyclables,” says Megan Daum, CVP Recycling Partnership chairman. “Susan Robinson of Waste Management has been a volunteer on CVP’s Technical Council since last year. This new financial support grows our ability to continue to unlock resources within the recycling system.”

The CVP seeks to improve residential recycling throughout the country. The organization uses public/private partnerships to help local governments get the most out of their recycling programs.

The Recycling Partnership, formed in 2014, is overseen by the CVP. The group leverages grants and technical assistance to help transform curbside recycling programs throughout the country.
