Matt New is vice president of sales at Ekman, a more than 240-year-old, family-owned global trading company based in Sweden. Ekman offers a wide range of services, covering the entire forest products supply chain, and contributes valuable market intelligence to each stage of its business partners’ enterprises.

With operational hubs in Gothenburg, Miami, Hong Kong, Zurich and Wall, New Jersey, Ekman maintains a presence in more than 100 countries and operates sales offices in about 40 locations. The company trades more than 4,000,000 tons of forest products annually.

In his role, Matt oversees all sales of recovered commodities into the Southeast Asian market and manages procurement from the northeast and west coast.
