Todd Shumaker began his career in the family recycling business his father purchased in 1990 in Illinois. He returned to work full time in 2001 after graduating from Illinois State University. Over the next 22 years, Todd, along with his father, Ron, and brother, Mike, grew Midwest Fiber Recycling into one of the largest recycling companies in the region before it was acquired by Circular Services in December 2023.

In March 2025, Todd was named president of the commodities and brokerage services group at Circular Services, where he oversees national commodity strategy and sales, along with brokerage services spanning 23 states. Circular Services is on pace this year to process and manage more than 2 million tons of commodities and operate 25 material recovery facilities across the country.
