Tour participants will see a highly automated modern MRF committed to Waste Connection’s #1 core value: safety. With 5 levels of fire safety and prevention (featuring equipment from Fire Rover, ECO CAF, and others), a Gunther Splitter screen that eliminates pre-sort, Pellenc optical sorters with advanced safety features, and a thoughtful design that prioritizes the safety of the people that walk the platforms every day, the Plainfield MRF is proud to be one of the safest MRFs in North America.
Supplied by Van Dyk Recycling Solutions, the plant processes 37 tons per hour of residential single-stream material with only 4 manual sorters while making 11 end products. Downtime is reduced to a minimum with features like mid-system accumulation bunkers and complete baler redundancy.
Attendance is limited to 50 participants per tour. Please sign up as soon as possible so you can see Waste Connections’ advanced approach to MRF safety that they hope becomes the new standard.
Waste Connections and Van Dyk Recycling Solutions reserve the right to deny tour entry to potential attendees.
