Tour participants will see a highly automated modern MRF that processes 25 tons per hour of residential single-stream material, with plans to expand to 35 tons per hour in the future.

The new facility is in the Stockyards neighborhood of Chicago and marks LRS’ pursuit to reshape the future of waste and recycling and lessen environmental impact across the Midwest.

The system features the no-presort, CP Auger Screen, OCC Screen, Glass Breaker Screen and CPScreen as well as three MSS FiberMax and three PlasticMax optical sorters that generate a total of nine commodities.
